Stir Up Some Fun
Family Activities
1. Design and Build a Lemonade Stand: Use only materials you already have and see how creative you can get!
2. Lemonade Taste Test: Make different flavored lemonade. Taste test them and determine which you like best.
3. Book Scene Artwork: Draw or paint your favorite scene from the book. Then write a few sentence about why you choose that scene.
4. Book Trailer: Make a video to advertise or review the book.
5. Coin Counting Game Night: Dump out a jar of spare change and challenge kids to sort, count, and create “budgets” for imaginary purchases.
6. Kindness Coupons: Inspired by Jessie and Evan learning to support each other, create coupons kids can trade or give away, such as:
-
“Help with a chore”
-
“Play a game together”
-
“Read a book with me”
-
“15 minutes of screen-free family time”
If you try any of our Lemonade War–inspired activities at home, feel free to send us photos or a short “family article” describing what you did. Your submission will be featured during our Monday morning assemblies or highlighted on our school social media pages/website. Sharing your experiences helps inspire other families and builds our community of readers and learners. Send your photos and stories to lacey.witt@d11.org. We can’t wait to see the fun you’re having!
